FGR KIT COMPETITION
JANUARY WINNERS.

Jordy Jannink. Netherlander currently living/working in Taiwan.
Here are two photos I took this week while I was going to my weekly match in the +35 League in Taipei. This 5 a side league is organised by the local chapter of the Master Football Academy (MFA) and I’ve been participating in that league for the past 5 years.
I’m from the Netherlands and have always played football since I was young. I did manage to play for Excelsior Rotterdam U18, which was then playing youth premier league. That was definitely the top of my career. After that season I continued to play for amateur club VV Papendrecht at the top amateur level for a couple of years, but then resigned from football because of work.
Since the early nineties I’ve been an Aston Villa supporter in the English PL. Not very active, but just following scores and buying a jersey every now and then. I got to support them because they had the best looking away kit at the time, the white Reebok kit with AST as sponsor. Loved it!
I started working for a company that develops, constructs and operates power stations, at that time mostly gas-fired power stations. The company had 3 power stations in the UK at the time Coryton near London, Rocksavage near Liverpool and Spalding near Peterborough. Our European office was located in Edinburgh, where I spent a decent amount of time. During that period I got more and more involved in renewable energy and I got to know Ecotricity as a company active in that field. It was not long that I learned about their eccentric CEO Dale Vince. His story resonated with me and I too wanted to be more active in the renewable energy field, helping the so needed energy transition our planet needs. I then also learned he owned a football club in some small town called Forest Green Rovers and revamped the club to be a eco-friendly, sustainable and vegan football club. The first of its kind in the world! I thought it was awesome and started following FGR since.
In 2020 I landed a project CFO role in Taiwan for a Danish company and that’s where I still am, developing and construction of offshore wind farms in the Taiwan Strait. I’m not vegan myself, but aim to eat less meat. I do try my best to be as sustainable as possible and that’s where I feel that FGR is a great club to support.

Show us your FGR kit “in the wild”!
Rock your shirt on a beach, a mountain, or a city street.
Snap it at a festival, on the school run, or in your local shop.
The more unusual (and fun) the backdrop, the better.
The twist: don’t just send us the photo, make sure the caption gives the context. Did you climb a tree to honour our frog? Did a passer-by ask you what planet we came from? We want the tales as much as the photos. We’ll pick our favourite and the winner will score an exclusive REFLO Supporters Pack. Sustainable. Stylish. Seriously green.
So, where will your Barking Tree Frog leap next?
Let’s have some fun everyone. Come on Rovers!

The rules are simple:
That you must be a Member of FGR Supporters Club to enter. If you’ve lost track, just email me and I’ll tell you. Otherwise, joining is very simple, just click this link (Anyone under 18 years can join for just £1). You will get a quick reply and welcome from me
Email your photo to me Chris Gardner (Chris.j.f.gardner@gmail.com)
You MUST INCLUDE the following
Your Name
A Descriptive Caption for the image
The image must feature the main subject wearing FGR kit
Confirmation that you have the Consent of all pictured (including for posting on the FGR & FGR SC websites)
At the end of every month, The Supporters Club will provide Reflo with a shortlist from which to pick a winner, all the way through to May 2026. The first will be chosen at the start of October. If possible, there will be a on-pitch presentation at the first available home match and we’ll publish a gallery here on the FGR Supporters Club website each month.
All welcome including our International supporters
The Supporters Club would like the competition to complement the growth in International FGR Supporters. So, if you have friends or family beyond our shores, or have made new friends whilst on holiday, perhaps encourage them to join the Supporters Club and send their competition entries. Existing International Members are of course eligible anyway
Note: The new ‘Barking Tree Frog’ FGR kit seems to be popular wear at FGR games already. However, until 1st January 2026, the competition will be open to photos showing FGR kit from any previous season, not just the latest Reflo kit, to make sure that the maximum numbers of fans have a chance to win
