Ambassadors Meet Soccer AM Star at World Media Day
Ambassadors Invited To World Media Day Meet Ex-EPL Ace
Former Premier League ace Jimmy Bullard recently visited The New Lawn and delighted ambassadors by spending time posing for pictures and signing autographs.
The former midfielder was once known for entertaining fans on the pitch but is now a presenter for Sky’s popular ‘Soccer AM’, which has become staple viewing for many football fans on a Saturday morning.
The effervescent Bullard has already been to the club twice for his ‘You Know The Drill’ segment for the show. His first visit saw him competing against Elliott Frear, before Scott Lindsey set drills for Bullard to go head-to-head with Reece Brown on his second visit. Bullard seems to be a keen admirer of the clubs footballing philosophy and after FGRs scintillating performance away at Colchester United last season he took to Twitter to praise the team’s performance;
Anyone who loves to see teams proper pop it about get on this FGR…I’ve watched these closely the last year or two and trust me these pop it. How much I would have loved to play for a team like thisJimmy Bullard, Twitter
It’s high praise from Bullard who worked his way from non-league with Gravesend and Northfleet to the Premier League and enjoyed spells with Wigan, Fulham and Ipswich.
Jimmy’s most recent visit saw him cooking with the club’s chef amongst other things before spending time with some happy ambassadors. How long will it be before he’s back to watch us pop it about again?
The Ambassador Scheme for the 2019-20 season sees 90 girls & boys from 70 schools act as advocates for FGR, with many also being members of the FGRSC.
