In January 2019 Leeds United were fined by the EFL for spying on opposition teams. It has emerged that Forest Green Rovers may be about to follow in the footsteps of the Yorkshire club.
FGR Ambassador Charlie Stoddart was pictured at St James Park ahead of FGR’s match against the Grecians in October.
Charlie, aged 7, of Abbeymead School in Gloucester would only say that he had obtained valuable footballing information from an unnamed Exeter City coach. It may have been that this coach was unaware of Charlie’s true footballing allegiances.
Neither Exeter City nor Forest Green Rovers have commented on the rumour. It is not believed that the EFL are investigating the matter.
