November saw FGR retain their place at the summit of League 2 but they bowed out of the FA Cup and EFL Trophy.
A disappointing result away to St Albans in the FA Cup was followed up victory in the EFL Trophy at Walsall which saw FGR top their group and get home advantage in the next round. In the next round FGR drew over 90 minutes with Chelsea U21s before succumbing to a defeat on penalties. In between those to EFL Trophy fixtures FGR won 3 league matches back to back with wins over Hartlepool, Barrow and Bristol Rovers.
