Forest Green Rovers continued their scintillating season throughout a busy January, dispelling any concern that the disruptions brought about by covid could derail their consistency at the top of League Two.

FGR started January at home to Stevenage on New Years Day, winning 2-0, before a scoreless draw with Exeter was followed up by a 2-0 home win to Colchester. FGR then headed on the road and took a 1-1 draw against Northampton. Back at The New Lawn fog interrupted play against Mansfield and FGR dispatched Carlisle 3-0. However the best was arguably saved till last as FGR, top of L2, travelled to 2nd place Tranmere. The best attack visiting the best defence as two in form teams went head to head in Birkenhead. FGR put in a dominating performance, coming out 4-0 victors.

Such has been FGRs consistency and domination over a run 0f 15 games unbeaten and the manner of their victory over Tranmere, pundits on Quest have now said they cant see past FGR for the title, despite it only being January. Rob Edwards though will be keen to ensure his team stay focussed and continue to ensure his side do not become complacent at the summit of L2, where they have sat since the 2nd week of the season.
