£900, the first instalment of ‘profits’ is being passed to FGR Women’s Football from the sale of Chris Gardner’s latest FGR book, They’ve done it again! The milestone was marked by ‘virtual handover” with FGR CEO Henry Staelens
Chris said “Thanks to everyone connected with Rovers for buying the book and giving me such wonderful feedback. Given the current cost of living crisis, it has been by far the hardest of my books to complete and self publish, yet supporters’ generosity has been outstanding”.
Former FGR stars such as Kane Wilson, Nicky Cadden and Ethan Pinnock have also acquired their copies
Chris’ target is to generate £1,000-2,000 for FGR Women’s Football To do so, he is keen to achieve a higher proportion of e-book sales as the stock of paperbacks is down to about 30 copies plus those available from local bookshops. He added: “if Rovers fans, players or their families/contacts can encourage more e-book sales, FGR Women will directly benefit from all the revenue, without any deductions”
