 Inniss has played at the highest level having joined C Palace as a 14-year-old but didn’t  make his first team debut until August 2018 in an EFL Cup match and remained on Palace’s  books until 2020 when he joined Charlton on a free transfer.

Inniss made 41 appearances for Charlton in season 22/23 across all competitions, featuring in both League One fixtures against Forest Green. He also occasionally wore the captain’s armband during his three years in South East London.

Inniss has represented England at U16 and U17 levels , scoring the winning goal in England U16’s 2–1 Victory Shield win over Scotland in 2011.He is also eligible to represent Trinidad & Tobago at international level, through his Trinidadian-born father.

Dylan Kadji

Date joined FGR August 23 on loan from Bristol City. Returned to his parent club October 23 to play for their U21s to get game time but he was, apparently, still eligible to play for FGR. On 5th March 24 he joined Aldershot on loan so presumably not returning.

Matty Taylor left Forest Green Rovers to join Cheltenham Town at the end of January 2024. Taylor, who played for Rovers between 2011 and 2014, returned to FGR in the summer of 2023 after being released by Oxford United. The 33-year-old played 18 times for FGR season 23/24, scoring two goals.

Matty Stevens

Matty ended his boxing career undefeated at the age of 15 having won the ABAE Schools national title in 2011 and the GB Schoolboy 3 Nations title in 2011 and 2012.  Don't mess with Matty!

He became Barnet's youngest ever player when he appeared for them aged 16.

The striker -  top scorer with 27 goals for Rovers in the L2 Champions season 2021/22 - missed the first half of the 22/23season through injury. January 2023 - Matty Stevens joined Walsall on loan until the end of the season where he resurrected the 'Matt Attack' by joining up with his strike partner from the L2 promotion season Jamille Matt.

Jordan came through the academy at Exeter and played for the Grecians between 2012 and 2018 before following his former manager, Paul Tisdall, to MK Dons.  Injury blighted the latter part of his 2019/20 season and he was one of nine players released by the Dons in 2020, which is when he made the move to Rovers.

Robson joined FGR from Lincoln City - who he signed for in the summer of 2021.

Before that, Robson had spent 10 years at Dundee United - where he made over 170 first-team appearances, including 35 in the top flight of Scotland.

The full-back played 47 times during his 18-month spell at Lincoln City. He made 16 appearances in League One for them in season 22/23, with his last appearance coming in the Imps’ 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town on 2 January 2023.

Jordon Garrick

Born in Jamaica but mainly brought up in Yorkshire. He almost became a Rugby League player with Bradford Bulls.

Last season he played 50 times for Plymouth scoring 7 goals and 8 assists. Jordon made his Lincoln debut against FGR in August 22.

The BBC, ITV and other media outlets regularly refer to Jordon as being on loan from Swansea but FGR paid a fee to sign him permanently on an 18 month contract.

Amadou Bakayoko

July 23 - he went on a season long loan to Dundee who are newly promoted to the Scottish Premier League.

Bakayoko was born in Sierra Leone but lived in Guinea until the age of six, before moving to Holland where he lived until he was 10. After moving to England, he began playing in Birmingham before winning a scholarship at Walsall. After prolific goalscoring at youth and reserve team level, Bakayoko was offered a one-year professional contract at Walsall in December 2013.

Amadou won the League One title with Coventry in 2020.

Amadou is 6 foot 4 inches tall. He has made 20 League One appearances for the Trotters this campaign (2022/23) but has only started five games with 15 coming from the bench. Bakayoko’s only goal of the season came in a 2-1 win over Burton Albion where he scored the equaliser in the 87th minute.

Eight of his 10 League One goals last campaign came in the 18 appearances between the start of February and the end of the season.

In March 2022, he was called up for the Sierra Leone for the first time.  He made his debut for Sierra Leone on 23 March 2022, as the side lost 3-0 to Togo in an international friendly. He scored his first goal for them five days later, as he scored the only goal in a 1–0 win against Liberia. He has played 7 times for Sierra Leone

Tyrese Omotoye

The transfer fee paid by Rangers to Manchester United in 2021 reportedly, with add ons, could have risen to £750,000.

Reports of the fee FGR have paid to Rangers have varied from £350,000 to £350,000 plus add ons although FGR dispute the figures quoted and say it was less than that.

Charlie has played for England U16s, Republic of Ireland U17s and Northern Ireland U21s. McCann was called up to the Northern Ireland senior squad for their Nations League games in June 2022.

Nathan Holland

Olly's first senior goal was a last minute equalizer against Scarborough in the FA Cup on 4 November 23. At the age of 18 years Olly became FGR's youngest ever scorer in the FA Cup.

James Belshaw

Date joined FGR: Emergency 7 Day Loan on 30 Sept which was renewed several times.

Belshaw's final loan match for FGR was the third FA Cup match against Scarborough on 12 December 23.  4 days later he was playing on an emergency loan for Harrogate. On 11 January 2024 he rejoined Harrogate on a permanent deal.

Tommy Simkin

He played one match for FGR but after not being selected for the next match he returned to Stoke to play for their U21s team but unfortunately injured his ankle. It is believed he is still technically eligible to play for FGR.

Simkin started as a centre back before converting into a goalkeeper at the age of 13.

He is a former British karate champion. A sparring partner for Matty Stevens?

Simkin had a successful loan at Solihull Moors for the first part of season 2023/24.

He made his Championship debut in December 23, where he was the Potters’ Player of the Match in a 1-0 defeat against Sheffield Wednesday.

Simkin penned a new long-term contract with Stoke in the summer 2023 and has featured in England U20s squads.

Maxi Oyedele

In early March he returned to Manchester United to play for their U21s. He is still technically still eligible to play for FGR but he is not expected to return.

Maxi made 4 substitute appearances for FGR.

He spent the second half of season 22/23 with Altrincham in the National League where he scored 4 goals in 12 appearances.

Christian Doidge

Previously at FGR (2016–19) Christian joined Hibernian in the summer of 2019 from Forest Green, where he went on to make 148 appearances, in which he scored 41 times for the Scottish side.

In his previous time at FGR he became the club’s all-time record scorer with 66 goals in 122 appearances.

He scored in the play-off final at Wembley against Tranmere, scored FGR’s first ever EFL goal, and a memorable strike away at Cheltenham Town which helped keep the club in League Two in FGR’s first ever EFL season.

Richard Keogh

Date & Place of birth – 11 August 1986, Harlow.

Richard was capped 26 times by the Republic of Ireland. Although Keogh was born in England, his paternal family is Irish.

At Bristol City he was Young Player of the Year 2006-07. At Carlisle he won the club's Player of the Year Award for the 2009–10 season. At Coventry Keogh was named the Player of the Year for the 2011–12 season & Players player of the Year for both 2010-11 & 2011-12.

While at Derby County he was the club's Player of the Year Award twice (in 2012-13 and 2015-16) and the Players' Player of the Year Award on three occasions (2012-13, 2015-16 and 2018-19). He was named in the 2014-15 PFA team of the Year.

In September 2019, Keogh was injured in a car crash and ruled out for the rest of the 2019-20 season. His Derby teammates Mason Bennet and Tom Lawrence were arrested for drink-driving and leaving the scene of an accident. In October 2019, Derby terminated the remainder of his contract due to gross misconduct, with Bennet and Lawrence receiving a six-week wage fine and being sentenced to 80 hours of community service and rehabilitation. Keogh left Derby having made 356 appearances and scored 12 goals across eight seasons.

Keogh launched appeals to both Derby and the EFL over his sacking, but both were rejected. However, after appealing to an employment tribunal with support from the Professional Footballers Association in January 2021, it officially ruled that Keogh had been unfairly dismissed and Derby were ordered to pay £2.3 million in compensation. Derby appealed against the decision, but this was rejected in May 2021.
